World Hepatitis Day is July 28: a global call to test, treat, and prevent viral hepatitis.
Many people living with hepatitis B or C have no symptoms for years, which is why the CDC recommends that all adults be screened at least once in their lifetime for hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Early detection means earlier treatment, better outcomes, and reduced risk of long-term liver damage.
If you’ve never been screened, this is a good week to bring it up with your provider. Hepatitis testing is a routine part of comprehensive lab work.
