  • Swab in Viral Transport Media

Submit

  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Body Fluid in Myco/Ureaplasma Media. Submit Frozen.

Also Acceptable:
  • One (Min:0.3 ) Swab in Viral Transport Media. Submit Frozen.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) CSF in Myco/Ureaplasma Media. Submit Frozen.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Semen in Myco/Ureaplasma Media. Submit Frozen.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Cervical/Vaginal Smear in Myco/Ureaplasma Media. Submit Frozen.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Urethral Swab in Myco/Ureaplasma Media. Submit Frozen.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Tissue in Myco/Ureaplasma Media. Submit Frozen.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Random Urine in Myco/Ureaplasma Media. Submit Frozen.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Respiratory Secretion(s) in Myco/Ureaplasma Media. Submit Frozen.

Special Handling

  • State Source
  • Place swab or 0.5 mL of fluid (Min: 0.3 mL). in Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma transport media (UTM).
    Also acceptable: Any transport media validated for Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma transport such as M4 (DO NOT USE M4 RT).

    Respiratory specimens acceptable from patients younger than 1 year of age.

    Frozen stability applicable to -70C (-20C unacceptable storage).
