Collect
- One Red Top

Submit
- 1 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Serum in Standard Transport Tube. Submit Refrigerated. Submit in a Standard Transport Tube.
Also Acceptable:
- 1 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Plasma in Standard Transport Tube. Submit Refrigerated. Submit in a Standard Transport Tube.
Special Handling
- Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature
- Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection
Rejection Criteria
- Hemolyzed specimens
- Separator tubes, lavender (EDTA), or gray (Sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate).
