Specimen:

Collect

  • Two Blue Top (Na Citrate)

Submit

  • 2 mL (Min:1.5 mL) Plasma . Submit Frozen. Submit in a Standard Transport Tube.

Special Handling

  • Critical Frozen
  • Separate aliquot required for each frozen test ordered
  • Separate from cells ASAP
  • Centrifuge sample and separate plasma within one hour of collection.
    For patients on Low Molecular weight heparin therapy, state type.
