Collect

  • One Royal Blue (EDTA)

Submit

  • 6 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Whole blood in Royal Blue (EDTA). Submit Ambient.

Special Handling

  • Stability: If the specimen is drawn and stored in an appropriate container, the trace elements do not change with time.

Rejection Criteria

  • Clotted Specimen
  • Heparin Anticoagulant
  • Specimen submitted frozen
  • Specimens collected in tubes other than Royal Blue (EDTA). Specimens transported in containers other than a Royal Blue (EDTA) tube or Trace Element-Free Transport Tube.
