Special Handling
- Stability: If the specimen is drawn and stored in an appropriate container, the trace elements do not change with time.
Rejection Criteria
- Clotted Specimen
- Heparin Anticoagulant
- Specimen submitted frozen
- Specimens collected in tubes other than Royal Blue (EDTA). Specimens transported in containers other than a Royal Blue (EDTA) tube or Trace Element-Free Transport Tube.
