Specimen:	Collect:	One SST Also Acceptable: One Red Top
	Submit:	0.5 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Serum . Submit Refrigerated. Submit in a Standard Transport Tube.
	Special Handling:	Avoid Repeated Freeze/Thaw Cycles Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection Parallel testing is preferred and convalescent specimens must be received within 30 days from receipt of the acute specimens. Mark specimens plainly as "acute" or "convalescent."
	Rejection Criteria:	Contaminated, heat-inactivated, hemolyzed, lipemic, or icteric serum.
