Collect

  • One SST

Also Acceptable:
  • One Red Top

Submit

  • 1 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Serum . Submit Refrigerated. Submit in a Standard Transport Tube.

Special Handling

  • Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
  • Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection
  • If acute and convalescent samples being submitted, clearly label as such. Convalescent sample must be received in lab within 30 days from receipt of acute samples.
