Submit
- 2 mL (Min:1 mL) Serum in Standard Transport Tube. Submit Frozen. Submit in a Standard Transport Tube.
Special Handling
- Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
- Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection
- Specimen source required.
If the anti-HDV screening result is positive, Hepatitis Delta Virus by Quantitative PCR will be added. Additional charges apply.
Rejection Criteria
- Hemolyzed specimens
- Lipemic Samples
- Specimens containing particulate material or obvious microbial contamination.
