Collect

  • Random Urine in Sterile Specimen Container

Submit

  • 8 mL (Min:1 mL) Random Urine in Trace Element Free Tube. Submit Refrigerated.

Special Handling

  • Mix collection specimen well before transferring into Trace Element Free Tube.

Rejection Criteria

  • Urine collected within 72 hours after administration of iodinated or gadolinium-based contrast media.
    Specimens contaminated with blood or fecal material.
    Acid preserved urine.
    Specimens transported in non-trace element free transport tube (with the exception of the original device).

Ambient: 1 Week(s); Refrigerated: 2 Week(s); Frozen: 12 Month(s); Incubated: Unacceptable
