- Other in Pinworm Paddle. Submit Ambient.
Special Handling
- Collect perianal specimen on pinworm paddle.
Press sticky side of paddle against several areas of the perianal region. Collect first thing in the morning before a bowel movement or bath.
Handle specimens with care as gravid female worms contain numerous ova and are highly infectious. Wash hands after handling.
A series of 3 morning specimens are recommended to rule out pinworms.
