  • Synovial Fluid in Green Top (Li Heparin)
  • Synovial Fluid in Green Top (Na Heparin)

  • Synovial Fluid in SST

Submit

  • 1 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Synovial Fluid in SST. Submit Refrigerated.

Also Acceptable:
  • 1 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Synovial Fluid in Sterile Specimen Container. Submit Refrigerated.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Synovial Fluid in Red Top. Submit Refrigerated.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Synovial Fluid in Green Top (Li Heparin). Submit Refrigerated.
  • 1 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Synovial Fluid in Green Top (Na Heparin). Submit Refrigerated.

Special Handling

  • Centrifuge specimen to remove cellular material
    Avoid blood contamination
    pH acceptable 2 - 10
