Specimen:

Collect

  • Random Urine in Sterile Specimen Container

Submit

  • 15 mL (Min:5 mL) Random Urine in Sterile Specimen Container. Submit Refrigerated.

Special Handling

  • Clean catch midstream or catheter collection in sterile container.
    If indicated (10 or greater WBCs and/or >1+ bacteria), and there is no urogenital contamination (>1+ squamous epithelial cells), then the Urine Culture (Test# 4020) will be performed. Additional charges will apply.
