Special Handling
- Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature
- Avoid Repeated Freeze/Thaw Cycles
- Fasting Specimen is Preferred
- Separate from cells ASAP
- Draw in the A.M., Iron values decrease by 30% during the course of the day.
