Collect:

One 7.5 mL SST

Submit:

1.5 mL (Min:0.3 mL) Serum. Submit Refrigerated. Submit in a Standard Transport Tube.

Special Handling:

Separate from cells ASAP
'PRe' and 'Post' pneumococcal vaccine specimens can be submitted together or separately. 'Post' samples should be drawn 30 days after immunization and if shipped separately must be recieved in lab within 60 days of 'Pre' sample. Clearly label 'Pre' and 'Post' samples
