20 mL Aliquot(s) Timed Stool in Sterile Specimen Container. Submit Frozen.

Special Handling:

Keep Specimen Refrigerated During Collection
72 HR Stool Collection Preferred.
48 HR or 24 HR Stool Collections are also acceptable.
State duration of collection and total weight of sample.
Weigh entire collection. Homogenize entire collection (using a graduated cylinder, add sufficient water to give "milk shake" consistency) and aliquot 20 mL (20 g) to a clean, unpreserved vial.

Stool in preservative
Random collections
Specimens submitted without collection time and weight information
Containers larger than 500 mL (500 g) will be rejected
