Special Handling: |
Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature Avoid Repeated Freeze/Thaw Cycles Separate from cells ASAP Draw pre-cortisol on day one. Have patient take oral dose of dexamethasone (prescription given by physician) at midnight, draw sample at 8:00 a.m. on day two. |
