Specimen:

Collect:

One 4 mL Green Top (Li Heparin)

Submit:

1 mL (Min:0.5 mL) Plasma. Submit Frozen. Submit in a Standard Transport Tube.

Special Handling:

Critical Frozen
Draw in a chilled tube, spin immediately, seperate, and freeze.
Draw into chilled tube, keep on ice until spun. Separate and Freeze plasma within 30 minutes. Keep tightly stoppered except during separation. Specimen can only be thawed once before testing.

Rejection Criteria:

Collection tube not properly filled
Hemolyzed specimens
