IMPORTANT TEST ALERT

Effective immediately tumor marker tests should no longer be drawn in SST vacutainer tubes. These test include:

• 91043 CA 27.29
• 91044 CA 72.4
• 91045 CA 19-9
• 91054 CA 15-3

Cancer antigen tests, especially CA 27.29 can exhibit a 20% positive bias when collected in SST vacutainer tubes.

If you have submitted CA 27.29 testing in the last year and have had any positive results you will be contacted by your Client Service Representative about resubmission offers.
