HIPAA COMPLIANCE

Interpath Laboratory is fully committed to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We are compliant with regard to Privacy standards and with the Security and Transactions standards. We have procedures in place for the education of all employees and for physical safeguards at our laboratories, service centers, administrative offices, and storage facilities. Internet and interface connectivity is encrypted and password protected. Electronic access has been limited to those who have authorization.

The Privacy Rule requires that Interpath Laboratory obtain assurances from Business Associates that they will appropriately safeguard protected health information to which they are exposed or have access. Business Associates Agreements have been obtained and are on file with our Privacy Officer.
