CLIENT BILLING POLICIES

Interpath Laboratory offers two options for billing of our services.

Patient Billing

We will bill your patients or their third-party payors, including Medicare and Welfare, directly. Providing all required information will avoid follow-up correspondence to you from our billing department. Please include diagnosis codes (ICD-9) as they are necessary for reimbursement. Attach a copy of the patient's insurance or medical assistance card to the test requisition. Medicare patients must have signed an Advanced Beneficiary Notice for any tests that do not meet medical necessity requirements, including screening tests.

Client Billing

Client billing is a monthly statement to a physician, clinic, or hospital, for testing charges. Payment of the statement is due by the 20th day of the month following the month of service. Interest charges may be added to past due accounts.
