Interpath Laboratory is an independent full service reference laboratory serving healthcare communities in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Interpath’s clients include physician offices, multi-specialty clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, state and federal government facilities, clinical trials, employers and home bound patients.

Interpath was founded nearly 40 years ago to provide the physicians and hospitals of Northeastern Oregon with clinical and anatomic laboratory services. Interpath’s uninterrupted ownership and management has resulted in a growing and dynamic organization with a reputation for exceptional customer service. This customer service mindset has prompted growth in urban as well as rural communities.

Our growth is due to two important philosophies: first to strategically locate local laboratories to effectively deliver accurate and timely results throughout the day and secondly Interpath’s culture motivates our employees to pay attention to and meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and their patients. “Customer Service” is not just a buzz word for us, it is our mission.

Interpath has expanded it’s in-house testing menu significantly over the years. Esoteric tests are evaluated and added to our menu on a regular basis. Regular test updates are distributed to our clients via our web site or by individual mailings. Our goal is to provide the entire range of testing to all of our clients regardless of their location or size.

The service Interpath provides goes beyond the testing of specimens, our services range from laboratory consulting, clinical laboratory software development and comprehensive management of clinical laboratories. Interpath is certified by the college of American Pathologists and is licensed through CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act) in all three states in which we provide services. To maintain our level of excellence, we have developed and implemented a quality assurance process using the principles of “LEAN”. This on-going process is called I.Q. at Interpath. Our staff is committed to the specific objectives of each I.Q. project and as a result we are continually updating the training of employees and monitoring the developed protocols and procedures to reach our goals of quality.

Information Systems Technology has been and continues to be central to our delivery of laboratory services. Interfaces to physician office ”practice management systems”, electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital laboratory information systems are quickly implemented by our Information Systems (IT) department. Our expertise, timely implementation and post installation-trouble free solutions are the driving factors for us to attain client satisfaction.
